Feeding our Feathered Friends

What To Feed In Your Bird Cafe
Generally speaking, natural wholefoods such as fruit and unsalted peanuts are fine for your garden birds.- Find Wild Bird Whole Dried and Unsalted Peanuts in a variety of size packs as well. Get them in tubs or smaller bags
- Did you know coconut husks filled with bird-friendly, salt-free “peanut butter” are a perfect fatty option? You can hang these from feeder stations or a bird-friendly tree.
- Wild Bird Fat Balls come in a variety of pack sizes in tubs or smaller packets too.
- Our Sunflower Hearts Bag is a good high energy bird feed full of nutrients & vitamins that are ideal for wild birds
- A Nyger Seed pack is another option. Highly nutritious and rich in oil content making it ideal for a wide variety of birds.
- A premium Wild Bird Mixture bag would be a great way to give the Birds a veritable buffet of nutritious options. The mixed bag is perfect for Seed Feeders, ground and table feeders.
- Pick up a Tub of Dried Mealworms that are 100% natural and filled with effective vitamins including a variety of high grade edible oils.
What NOT To Feed Our Birdie Friends
Do be careful with dried foods as they may swell after eating and injure the birds. And to make sure we don’t turn them into flying couch potatoes, don’t give them a junk diet filled with salty crisps. Sadly despite the widespread practice we witness outdoors, don’t feed the birds bread as it has no nutritional value for wildlife. Think Keto Diet when in doubt. Nothing compares with nature’s fresh bounty. Growing fruit trees, cultivating berry bushes and allowing seeds in your garden will give the birds a natural autumn larder as well. When To Feed The Hungry Bird It’s worth remembering that birds emerge from the night famished, so it’s a good idea to replenish the bird food supply topped up in time for the dawn when birds will appear. How To Bathe & Hydrate The Birdies

Where To Feed Wild Birds

- Our Traditional Bird Feeding Station has a simple design and is easy to assemble with multi feeding options and suspension points which is perfect for attracting a wide variety of wild birds to one location.
- If serving up whole peanuts or larger pieces of dried fruit, for example, use a Wild Bird Nut Feeder with a steel wire mesh feeder to hold the bird food. It prevents younger or smaller birds from choking on large pieces.
- For a more natural effect – we also provide a PREMIUM WOODEN SEED FEEDER
Create A Bird Friendly Habitat

- BIRD HOUSES are ideal for attracting small birds to nest. Place these in a quiet, sheltered spot in the garden.
How Not To Harm Your Bird Friends
Take Out The Toxic
It may be tempting for gardening use, but environmentally harmful chemicals may poison our feathered visitors. Be mindful of using any toxic weed killers, insecticides, artificial fertilisers or fungicides. If you need motivation here’s a simple fact: Birds will naturally come to feed on slugs, snails, caterpillars and aphids in your garden. Sometimes nature takes care of itself if you think of your bird visitors as a free natural alternative to toxic garden chemicals.Keep Your Bird Care Accessories Clean
Don’t be the source for nasty wild bird diseases. Be sure to keep your bird feeders clean by wiping them down regularly with an organic cleaner or simple hot water. To avoid the buildup of diseases, rotate the positions of your bird tables and feeders every couple of weeks. This prevents diseases from festering in the ground below. This includes cleaning out and refilling the water in your bird baths too.Birdcare Checklist:
